This Advance notice is to inform you of an upcoming Auckland Council Request for Proposal (RFP) and provide you an opportunity to register on our procurement platform SAP Ariba.

The purpose of this notice is to identify suppliers interested in participating in the RFP for Community Recycling Centre (CRC) Operations.

Auckland Council is seeking suppliers to provide services relating to Community Recycling Centre (CRC) Operations

Typical CRC operations include:
• Public drop off waste, recyclables, green waste, reusable items and inorganic materials
• Management, processing and sale of recyclable materials, reusable items and inorganic materials
• Management and disposal of residual waste
• Commercial activities e.g., collections from local businesses
• Community education and engagement
• Reuse shop, repair workshop

Suppliers must meet the following specific requirements :

• Should be a not-for-profit entity, or business entity whose profits (wholly or partially) are invested into the CRC operation or the wider community to achieve social and environmental benefits
• Have a community track record - links to the local community either directly or through a Joint Venture
• Prequalified for Auckland Council Health & Safety or confirmation that they will meet the requirements prior to contract award

1. At this stage we are not seeking detailed proposals
2. We only need your response in GETS to inform Council about your interest in being invited for the RFP process through SAP Ariba
