Notice to Auckland Council Physical Works and Construction Contractors

Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Auckland Council, as well our suppliers must proactively manage purchased services to ensure workers and other people (including customers) are not put at risk from work carried out under those contracts. We are obliged to check and ensure that our suppliers are meeting any agreed health and safety standards and requirements. As part of this requirement:
As of 1 December 2019, Auckland Council will be mandating the ConstructSafe Competency Certification as a requirement on all physical works and construction projects.
All Auckland Council construction contractors will be required to be registered and operating under the ConstructSafe Tier 1 competency assessment framework for any construction contracts from 1 December 2019
