Background
Auckland Council Parks completed a detailed survey of the existing carparks at Lloyd Elsmore Park, 2R Bells Road, Howick. The recommendations for the upgrade are to undertake the resurfacing of the Rugby Club and Badminton Club existing carpark; access from Lady Marie Drive opposite hockey carpark past playground and improvements to the stormwater drainage from the carpark and the wider access networks. Full Improvements to the whole hardsurfaces area and incorporate in the works the surround fixtures such us Barriers and Bollards and including new Lighting.
Scope
The scope of the proposed project is
The construction works are for the full upgrade of the surfacing of the existing carpark along with associated works at Lloyd Elsmore Park, Howick.
Items of works include;
Take down and removal of existing structures which cannot be retained or reused;
Reconstruct the entire hard surfaces areas to improve the gradient and surface conditions;
Install surface stormwater controls to the carparks area;
Install new carpark lighting;
Apply pavement markings in the carpark area for parking spaces, disabled persons parking, and directional arrows to direct vehicle flows;
Install perimeter bollards where needed;
Park furniture upgrade.
