Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) wishes to engage a Consultant to provide Professional Engineering Services for Willow Place Pump Station Upgrades and Rising Main (the Project). The wastewater conveyance system from Kelvin Heights to the new Kawarau Bridge must be upgraded in connection with the expanding wastewater network that is required to cater for future growth in Queenstown.
The preferred option has been identified through the business case. The scope of upgrade works includes but is not limited to:
▪ Installation of new [larger] pumps at the existing Willow Place wastewater pump station (WWPS), including installation of a new pump well below ground to house the new pumps;
▪ Upgrading of the two existing Hilton wastewater pump stations (PS-1 and PS-2);
▪ Repurposing sections of the existing rising main to allow the Hilton wastewater pump stations to pump back to the Willow Place WWPS; and
▪ Installation of a new wastewater rising main from the existing Willow Place WWPS to Kawarau Bridge via the lakeside track on the Northern side of the Hilton Hotel.
