The Northern Regional Alliance Ltd on behalf of the Northern District Health Boards (DHBs) is seeking proposals for the provision of an evaluation of the Acute Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service. The Acute Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service is a new initiative designed to assist mothers and babies – and the people who support them – by significantly expanding acute maternal mental health and infant health services in the Northern Region.
The aims of the evaluation are to explore whether the service is being implemented as intended and identify whether the service’s continuum of care (as described in the service documentation) is the most appropriate model to meet the needs of the patient population identified. The evaluation also aims to explore opportunities for improving the delivery of the service and provide some initial data to explore outcomes for service users accessing the services.
