We require provision of all or parts of the following to allow planting between the stop bank and riverbank (the ‘berm’) along lowland river flats in the Heretaunga Plains area of the Hawke’s Bay for the purpose of
both re-establishing indigenous riparian forest and protecting stop banks from flood damage:
1. We require site works associated with the planting of between 50,000 to 100,000 native plants over about 29 ha between Summer 2021 and Winter 2023. The required site works include site preparation, planting,
plant care, maintenance, and weed control. There is also a requirement for project coordination function.
2. We require the supply, or part supply, of up to 100,000 native plants for the term of the contract. Proposals for the supply of part of the required deliverables will be considered.
